Should is the enemy of can

The ‘Should’ mind-set

Some people get fixated on how things should be, how they are supposed to be, rather than how they actually are. The difference between the way things should be and the way things are can seem unfair, unjust or just plain wrong. The customer should have signed that off by now, the supplier should have done a better job, the sponsor should have given us more time. We should have seen that coming. People should follow the process.

Get over it.

Should is the enemy of can.
